Specialists in Multi-Business Ownership

We make business ownership simple

We give private individuals real ownership across several interlinked businesses — from R250 a month on the Stratum Fintech platform.

Our own team of chartered accountants runs those businesses day to day, so you keep your job while professionals carry the operational load.

About the firm

About Luthando Maduna & Co Chartered Accountants

We are a firm based in Sandton, Johannesburg, that specialises in providing private individual clients with multi-business ownership — and then managing those businesses on their behalf.

Ownership on its own does not build wealth. What matters is who runs the business afterwards. Every company in our ecosystem is run day to day by our own team of chartered accountants: they handle the accounting records, tax, payroll, supplier contracts, stock and cash controls, and report the results back to owners in plain language.

Clients never have to leave their jobs, learn retail or manage staff. They own a share of trading businesses, and professionals carry the operational load.

The model

What is multi-business ownership?

As a private individual you sign up on Stratum, the platform developed by our firm working with FNB, to enable ordinary people to participate in the mainstream economy through businesses that are interlinked and integrated.

From R250 per month

With a minimum of R250 per month, clients participate in an integrated economic system that links livestock companies with a network of butcheries and fruit and vegetable stores. These are packaged into a single ecosystem, so clients can also buy their daily essentials from the very shops they own.

Livestock companies

Commercial farming operations that supply the network with meat at source.

Butcheries

A retail network of butcheries that buys from the farms clients already own.

Fruit and vegetable stores

Fresh produce stores that complete the weekly shopping basket inside the ecosystem.

The model is designed to return 90% of distributable profits back to the clients. In South Africa we call these clients SAMBO members.

Our philosophy

What is our philosophy?

To reduce poverty and inequality, we believe ordinary people should shop where they are able to share in at least 90% of the profits from businesses managed by professionals — and use those profits to build wealth and legacies for their families.

Our founder designed this ecosystem so that, in time, funds raised from multi-business owners and the energy consumption of the stores they own will build 100 Inclusive African Cities — to end poverty across the continent, and one day across the world.

Structure

Who does what in the ecosystem

One system, clearly divided. The firm carries the professional work, the Agency runs the operations, and the platforms hold the ownership and the money.

The firm

Luthando Maduna & Co Chartered Accountants — accounting, tax, payroll, secretarial, assurance and advisory across every business.

The operator

Maduna Foundation Development Agency — manages daily operations and registers the professionals who run the ecosystem.

The platforms

Stratum Fintech and the SAMBO platform — where members sign up, contribute, track performance and receive distributions.

The Foundation

Luthando Maduna Foundation NPC — trains graduates and places them into the operating businesses.

Security of funds

Your money sits with the bank, not with us

All member funds are secured on the FNB banking infrastructure. Members have access to their funds and records through their own banking profiles and through the Stratum platform as SAMBO members.
